Honest Charley Builds Street Rodder Road Tour Car
We’re super excited about a build going on at Honest Charley Garage. We are building the 2013 Street Rodder Road Tour car! We’ve been keeping our lips sealed for nearly a year, because of contractual agreements with the magazine company, but the articles are now being published monthly in Street Rodder, so we’re free to start documenting the build here on the blog. The car is a ’51 Ford, and our task is to take a rusty pile of junk and turn it into the killer custom as shown in the rendering.
A bunch of cool parts are on the way, including a very interesting engine combination. This car will be driven thousands of miles this summer, and it has an extensive event schedule, so you’ll likely see it at an event in 2013. Stay tuned for LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of photos, videos and interviews. Consider this your warning…we’re going to be posting updates once a week from now until the car is finished! Check out the rendering and get ready for the first installment of the build coming up later today.
BEEN FOLLOWING THE BUILD IN STREET RODDER, LOVE THE CAR ! CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT AT THE NATS IN LOUISVILLE !
You are doing great work and all of you are a credit to the Chattanooga area. I am looking forward to seeing your awesome build. Thanks, for all you do!
Please don’t put a “LS” series engine in this….any type of Ford motor please! Maybe a powertrain out of a late model Mustang….
